Platja d'Aro is to be found in the middle of the Costa Brava region it is a major tourist resort with hotels villas and apartments offering accommodation from top hotels to budget apartments.

Platja d'Aro once a fishing village is an ideal place to visit with its 2km long beach.

The resort is made up of Castell d'Aro being the older village some 3 kilometres inland, originally formed around a medieval castle and a fortified church, and the area from Platja d'Aro to Santa Cristina d'Aro.

The area boasts a championship golf course and has good road connections along the coast to other villages and resorts.
