  • Have you had the necessary immunisations
  • Being pregnant or think you are pregnant.
  • Taking medication.
  • Is your general level of fitness ready to undertake a strenuous adventure holiday.
  • Blood group:  if you know your blood group it will allow quicker emergency treatment. In an emergency your Embassy may be able to find an expatriate donor. In some parts of the world this will substantially reduce your risk of being given contaminated blood.
  • Medical history: If you have had any serious medical problems it is worth briefly noting down the relevant details including the treatment you were given with dates and the drugs you are or have just finished taking, this may be of great help in an emergency.
  • Note down any pills or medicines that you are allergic to. 8.
  •  Make 2 copies of any info you have leave one copy with someone you can reach in an emergency and take the other copy with you keeping it separate from your luggage and valuables. invest in an emergency medical kit to keep with you.
