Ski holiday in Sainte Foy Tarentaise Book Direct With Owner.
Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is a small ski area in the Tarentaise that has been developed only since 1990. Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is truly an undiscovered, uncrowded gem with some wonderful skiing for advanced and intermediate skiers.
The ski area spreads over the mountainside directly above the village and on both sides of the three chair-lifts which rise, one above the other, from 1550m to the Col de Aiguille (2620m). The top lift - the Aiguille - gives access to almost 600m vertical of skiing above the tree-line and to off-piste routes on the back of the mountain. The lower two chairs serve a number of pleasant green, blue and red runs through the trees and back to the base station. The slopes are north- or west-facing. Snow reliability is good on the former but can suffer on the latter. However, because of the lack of crowds, a fresh fall of powder is skied out much less quickly than in the nearby larger resorts; you can make fresh tracks days after the latest storm. Advanced skiers can pass many a happy hour on Ste-Foy's upper slopes.
