La Nucía is located in a quiet valley, 10 km. from Benidorm, 53 km. from Alicante and 115 km. from Valencia. In the north it is next to Polop and Callosa d'en Sarria, in the east to Altea, in the south to L'Alfaz del Pi and in the west to Benidorm.
The mountains of Aitana and Aixorta protect La Nucía from cold winds from the north, and in this way the average temperature is of 15 º. La Nucia is an elegant residential zone of housing estates inhabited all year by local and foreign residents, though this has not changed the customs and beauty of this peaceful village.
A good time to visit the village is on Sunday mornings when stalls selling second-hand goods stretch over several kilometres, constituting one of the most impressive markets of the province.
For those who enjoy walking, mountaineering and/or mountain biking, there are various rural roads and tracks that start out in the village and lead up the different mountains these are marked into varied categories by grade of difficulty. There are also interesting car routes, through pretty villages in the surrounding areas.
