Alghero has an enviable Mediterranean type of climate.

Summers can get very hot with temperatures in August touching 30C. Winters are mild, but Alghero sees a fair bit of rainfall as it is along the coast. Alghero is situated on the north western coast of Sardinia. Still a fishing port, the town is unspoilt and does not seem to attract the mass tourism.
