If your travelling or going on holiday you should make sure that you have sufficient insurance cover so that you can enjoy your holiday.

If you intend participating in any activities or sports you may need to increase your cover.

Never assume that you are covered for all situations when applying for travel insurance always check that you have the appropriate cover.

It is also advisable to obtain an EHIC from your post office which will cover you for emergency treatment if you are a British citizen, but does not cover for other expenses which may be incurred such as repatriation.

Always make sure your travel insurance covers the whole period you are on holiday and that if you extend your holiday you extend your cover..
