Casa Fiesta holiday in Caleta De Fustes Fuerteventura...
This is an excellent base for exploring Fuerteventura. The island is a beautiful and peaceful and on the same latitude as Florida and Mexico boasting 157 beaches ( mostly golden sand) and superb golfing, diving, fishing and watersports. It has a diverse landscape from the plains, lavascapes and volcanic mountains inland ( best explored in a 4x4 or Cross Country motorbike ) to the National Park with sand dunes to the north and immense sandy beaches to the south. The climate is perfect and varies between 20ºC and 30ºC. It is breezy in Summer, less so in Winter. There is vey little rain - approximately 15 days per year.
Caleta de Fuste is the ideal location, being down the Eastern coast and about 6 miles from the airport. Frequent buses go from here to Caleta de Fuste to the capital, Puerto del Rosario and further north to the resort of Corralejo. From here, ferries go to the other Canarian islands, with Lanzarote being only 40 minutes away! This is also the location of Baku ( the exciting waterpark.) At the other end of the island, 1 -1.5 hours away is Jandia (home of the annual international Windsurfing Championships.) Car hire is plentiful either in the resort or from the airport and the roads are pretty quiet.

Timezone is the same as the UK. Fuerteventura is a full member of the EU and there is a Reciprocal Health Agreement with the UK. A new EHIC (European Health Insurance Card ) is required to replace the E111. Language is Spanish but English is widely spoken. The currency used is Euros.
