The cottage is nestled amongst tranquil terrace's of orange and lemon tree's, with a small stream running in front which keeps you cool at the height of the Murcian summers.
Due to it's mountainous rural location there is no light pollution. Dirt road access means that the odd tractor might disturb your peace as you lay by the pool, watching an Eagle glide the thermals. Yet you are only 20mins from Totana which has all the services you might need.
No chemicals are used at La Huerta and it is totally self sufficient for all utilities. Water is provided from a natural mountain reservoir, power by solar and generator.
It is an ideal winter break as the cottage is south facing to maximise the days sun. And for the cooler nights due to the winds from the snow covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada and Sierra Espuna there is a large log fire place.
Mountain bikers and walking enthusiasts will find many tracks in over 17,000 hectares of the Sierra Espuna national park of which Lahuerta is at the base.
The cottage sleeps up to 6 people and has the following rooms:
