|
Are you looking to get away from your busy life and get some peace & quiet, where you can do as much or little as you like.
We would like to give a very warm welcome to guests of Paz Y Calma, which quite literally means "peace and quiet" and hope you enjoy rural Spain like we do.
We are set in the hillside overlooking the Sierra de Castril. On a clear day you can see the snow peaked mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
The village of Castril is 1.4kms below us where you can find restaurants serving local cuisine, a community pool (June to September) and park for the children as well as a glorious Gorge Walk. There is also a Tourist Information Office which opens most days during the summer season.
Castril also hosts the Lake Portillo, 15 minutes west is the Lake Bolera, 15 minutes east is the Lake San Clemente and 25 minutes south is Lake Negratin at Baza, where you can also find thermal baths which is famous for curing people with arthritus and such like. All lakes provide swimming and some watersports.
We have four bedrooms in total (2 are double and 2 are twin). In winter we provide you with electric heaters and there are duvets available for those chilly nights; a fully fitted kitchen; lounge; bathroom and shower room.
We have a terrace where you may eat yourmeals, and look at the stunning views of the Sierra de Castril. We do have a 10ft above ground pool for childrenand adults like - not huge, but enough to cool you off during the hot summer sun (June to September) and you may eat in the lounge diner during the winter months (and of course Summer if you prefer) you may sit/eat in the lounge with an open fire place for warmth.
We are in the perfect location for many activities which include walking, caving, cycling, swimming, fishing, bird watching, painting, photography, star gazing
10 minutes from us you reach the Sierra de Cazorla which is a paradise for walkers and nature lovers.
The Coast is 1.5 hours by car.
The ski-slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains is 90 minutes and we offer transfers during the winter months.
