Today Paphos is a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus, it is a charming  town that has all of the amenities considered essential for a sun and sand holiday it is situated by the sea and is home to the lovely picturesque harbour.

Here you will find excellent fish tavernas, where you can taste and enjoy the days catch. Several souvenir shops and hotels are also situated here. The whole town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world heritage.

Theoskepasti means 'Veiled by God'. According to tradition, a fog was sent by God to protect the original church during the Arab raids. The modern church was built in 1923.
