Cutar Situated at a height of 331 metres above sea level. The main crops here are the vine and olives. The oil of Cutar was well-known to the Moors, and its raisins and grapesare internationally famed. The countryside is characterised by its many gullies and hillocks. In terms of town planning, the village is typical of Morisco style, with narrow, steeply-rising streets and white-washed houses.At the exit to the village are the remains of a fountain dating back to the Moorish period. The finest historical building here is the 16th-century Gothic-Mudejar Church of Nuestra Senora de la Encarnacion, which has a splendid Baroque side chapel in the Nave of the Epistle, and an exquisite chapel nearby. Also outstanding is the Town Hall, situated in the main square.
The patron saint of Cutar is Saint Roc, whose festivities are held on 16 August.
