Ain Draham Holiday Accommodation

Ain Draham, this is one of the few mountain summer resorts in Tunisia. This village of red-tiled roofs, surrounded by forests, endlessly surprises us because we are accustomed to the whitewashed towns with vaulted or domed roofs.

The reuse of the tile, known in Roman times, but not used in the era of the Protectorate, was introduced again to Tunisia by the Andalusian Moors in the 16th Century, like in the characteristic town of Testour. A'i'n Draham is a local tourist spot where Tunisians preferring the mountains to the sea, come with their families, renting houses and walking in the forests, taking excursions to Col-des-Ruines (cork oak forest) or to Col-des-Vents where one of the first dikes in Tunisia is located: the Beni M'Tir dyke with its 350 hectare lake.
