Yaiza is situated between Playa Blanca and Puerto Del Carman two busy resorts for activities on both land and sea.

A car is required to access Yaiza and the surrounding areas. The entrance for the national park is a short drive passing the camels ( please note the Timanfaya national park is a popular tourist attraction, to avoid a long wait get there early the structure of the volcano and the climate of Lanzarote can make being in the car uncomfortable if in a queue always carry water with you.)

The wine growing region is as short drive from Yaiza a unique world preserved with original characteristics of the process developed by the people of Lanzarote from ancient customs handed down from generation to generation, observe how waste and burnt land from volcanic activity has been transformed to encourage the growing of the grape for wine production.

There are many museums to visit showing the history of wine production on the Island of Lanzarote, try a complementary glass of wine, then take a few bottles back to your holiday villa to enjoy while he sun sets.

Yaiza has amazing white houses and beautiful established gardens of exotic plants and trees, brought to the Island by ships from countries using the Atlantic Ocean as trade routes via the canary Islands, introducing plant specious from the tropics and subtropics.

The gardens have been tendered over the generations by the villagers of Yaiza, the traveler will find the view amazing, with the environment whose protection and intact conservation is being upheld by UNESCO, witch in 1993 declared Lanzarote to be a RESERVE OF THE BIOSPHERE.
