La Palma Holiday Accommodation

San Miguel de la Palma is the most north western of the Islands & has the largest rain fall, creating a greener more lush landscape than the other Islands, with its many banana plantations.

La Palma is not as developed as the tourist resorts as that of Tenerife & Gran Canaria but relies more on its traditional forms of income e.g. fishing & agriculture.

La Palma offers a variety of scenery from its forest & plantations to the volcanic mountains in its centre.

The southern end of the Island with its volcanic history is an ash covered environment with volcanic debris from years gone past, with black sand beaches. An interesting area away from the tourist haunts of the Island.

From a bloody past,  by the 16 century La Palma became a transatlantic route , the port of Santa De La Cruz was the third most important off the Spanish empire.

Today the banana industry is the main stay if the island economy. The tourist industry on La Palma is still in its infancy and probably will never grow to the extent of Lanzarote & Fuerteventura.

The traveller can enjoy a coffee on the Placeta De Barrero Santa Cruz De La Palma. Relax on the black sand beach of Puerto Naos.

Explore the park National de la Caldera de Tabiriente. Walk the ridge back Ruta de los Volcanes & discover the spectacular balconies of Santa Cruz's old quarter then dine in one of the many restaurants on offer.
